When it comes to brandy, consumers are known for their conservative tastes and loyalty. Recognizing this, Valerii Sumilov embarked on a mission to create a design that would not only appeal to the existing customer base but also attract a new generation of brandy enthusiasts. The goal was to renew the product's appearance while staying true to the brand's rich heritage.
The project presented several challenges, given the scale and history of the KVINT factory. With a devoted group of buyers spread across the globe, the redesign had to meet global trends and expectations. The team had to carefully consider the essence of the task, listen to the client's requests, and understand the market and consumer expectations.
The result is a truly remarkable design that showcases the expertise and innovation of Valerii Sumilov. The bottle, made from locally-produced glass, features a unique shape that sets it apart from other brandy bottles on the market. The symmetrical design, with identical front and back sides, adds a touch of elegance and balance.
One of the standout features of the design is the cap. Instead of a traditional shrink-wrap, a polylaminate material was chosen to give the bottle a more luxurious and refined look. The label, made from high-quality paper by Fedrigoni, adds a touch of sophistication with its Constellation Jade Raster design from the SOMMELIER & GOURMET collection.
With meticulous attention to detail, Valerii Sumilov ensured that the bottle carried the factory's coat of arms and its year of foundation, adding a personal touch that further enhances the brand's identity.
The KVINT brandy redesign project, which started in August 2012 and concluded in August 2013, has already made its mark on the Russian market. The product is now available for purchase in Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine, delighting brandy enthusiasts with its exquisite design and exceptional quality.
Valerii Sumilov's outstanding design for KVINT has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2014. This award is a testament to the remarkable level of excellence, technical expertise, and artistic skill demonstrated in this project. The redesigned brandy bottles are a true work of art that evokes positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
